Original Military Diet ~ 3 Day Challenge

The original military diet claims you can lose safely lose up to 10 lbs in just 3 days. Is this really possible? Yes it is. But…lol There is always a but. When your are looking at dieting the goal for most people is not to lose weight. The goal is to lose fat. Can you lose 10 lbs in 3 days, for sure you can. Can you lose 10 lbs of fat in 3 days from the military diet? No.



That is not to say it’s not worth trying. The Military diet is a very low calorie structured diet that you only do for a max of 3 days. You can see up to 10 lbs come off the scale. Some of that will be fat, most of it will be water. Losing the water weight has it’s own benefits as well. Many of us are bloated and inflamed from our high carb diets. The lower consumption of calories and carbs will lower your inflammation and bloating.

After completing your 3 day diet, you should go back to maintenance calories. You will gain some weight back, as long as you don’t over consume calories, you should be able to maintain some of the weight loss.



I’m a big fan of mixing diets up. Following a laid out plain will boost your motivation and adherence. In between diets, it’s important to go back to maintenance calories for a few days, to a few weeks.
